Welcome to the website of the National Capital Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. We are the largest group of BMW enthusiasts in the US and based in Arlington, VA. Our chapter covers Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Eastern West Virginia and the entire state of Maryland.
Looking to get away? We still have past driving tours tucked away here.
The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too.
It's about more than driving - it's about LIVING!
It's Spring time, the snow is gone, and it's time for a Pie Run! We will meet early at Catoctin Mountain Orchard in Thurmont, MD, take some great back roads and head north to The Markets at Shrewsbury (PA) for lunch. It’s recommended to bring a cooler to keep their pies/food from sliding around in the trunk, especially since we have some fun driving to do! REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
This event is a true Tech Session with Mike Miller, Technical Expert for both Roundel and Bimmer Magazine, where members will be able to ask questions and get answers for issues regarding their BMW Ultimate Driving Machine!
What's a Tourmeister you ask? Simply put, its someone who plans chapter tours. This person would select interesting locations and find the most fun way to get there (by car, of course). In the past, we've picked some great back roads to cruise, which are way more interesting than driving the Beltway. We can pick stops along the way and/or get lunch at a cool foodie place, it's all up to you.
This is a great way to get involved with the chapter as I know we have some talented, creative people out there. Our tours have always been some of our most popular events which is why we need more of them!
