Our plan is to arrive and park together NLT 10am\, socialize\, take a group photo along the water\, then head inside at 11am.  The club will provide some appetizers and raffle prizes. DESCRIPTION:BMW CCA NCC Sim Racing Program – 2024 Season: \n  \nINTRODUCTION \nWhat is this program about? – This is a simulated racing league offered by BMW CCA National Capital Chapter (NCC). It is open to anyone and there is no cost to participate. You also do not have to be a member of BMW CCA to participate. We will use popular iRacing as our sim racing platform. We are open to all skill levels but we do require some experience\, basic understanding of racing\, and skills as explained in requirements section. We started this program in early 2020\, and we host races all year around (4 seasons\, 8-10 race weeks per season). We have dozens of enthusiastic drivers all over the country who have steadily improved over the years\, so come join and race with us! \nWhy should you join and how is different than other leagues? – first and foremost\, we focus on skill development. Almost all of our races are fixed setup in order to emphasize driver skill development rather than spending time “tuning” the car. We also strive to drive squeaky clean in this league\, just like real club and vintage racing series\, we do not condone racing contacts or incidents. We do have pretty tight rules (and penalty system) to enforce this priority. In order to accelerate your skill development\, we also have data analysis sessions\, replay peer reviews\, additional practice nights\, and most importantly friendly drivers who are willing to help out with any issues you may have (equipment setup\, car painting\, driving technique\, etc.). Many of our drivers have experienced positive and accelerated learning by participating in this league and have enjoyed comraderies over the years. \nHow to join this league: \n\nOnce you have met the basic requirements below and have read and understood our rules and penalty system\, you can apply to join the league.\n\nNew members are accepted up to Tuesday of each week.  We do not accept new applicants on official race day on Thursday.\n\nThere are 2 steps required to participate in this league:\n\n\n\n\nPlease search and apply under BMW CCA NCC League in iRacing:\n\n\n\nYou must have –\n\nRoad racing license class of D or higher\,\nSafety rating (SR) of 2.50 or higher\, AND\niRating of 1350 or higher to be accepted into the league\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscord channel link will be sent out and you must acknowledge certain channel within Discord to participate in league sessions.\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS \nSoftware \n\nWe (exclusively) use iRacing as our simulated racing program. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a short backroads drive to Summit Point Raceway\, where you will get your chance to race your own car on the Autocross track hosted by NCC Autox. The first 20 cars registered will get to try their hand at this exciting form of racing. There will be a $40.00 separate additional charge to autocross at this event. You will be required to go through TECH INSPECTION. If you show up and your car will not pass Tech\, your car will NOT be allowed to run. High center of gravity SUV or Hybrid / EV vehicles are NOT allowed on any course as per Summit Point rules / regulations.  They are allowed in the facility\, just not on track. There is no requirement that your car be a BMW. Loaner helmets will be available for those who need them. If you have a helmet\, it must be Snell approved SA/M2015 / 2020. REGISTER

DESCRIPTION:BMW CCA NCC Sim Racing Program – 2024 Season: \n  \nINTRODUCTION \nWhat is this program about? – This is a simulated racing league offered by BMW CCA National Capital Chapter (NCC). It is open to anyone and there is no cost to participate. You also do not have to be a member of BMW CCA to participate. We will use popular iRacing as our sim racing platform. We are open to all skill levels but we do require some experience\, basic understanding of racing\, and skills as explained in requirements section. We started this program in early 2020\, and we host races all year around (4 seasons\, 8-10 race weeks per season). We have dozens of enthusiastic drivers all over the country who have steadily improved over the years\, so come join and race with us! \nWhy should you join and how is different than other leagues? – first and foremost\, we focus on skill development. Almost all of our races are fixed setup in order to emphasize driver skill development rather than spending time “tuning” the car. We also strive to drive squeaky clean in this league\, just like real club and vintage racing series\, we do not condone racing contacts or incidents. We do have pretty tight rules (and penalty system) to enforce this priority. In order to accelerate your skill development\, we also have data analysis sessions\, replay peer reviews\, additional practice nights\, and most importantly friendly drivers who are willing to help out with any issues you may have (equipment setup\, car painting\, driving technique\, etc.). Many of our drivers have experienced positive and accelerated learning by participating in this league and have enjoyed comraderies over the years. \nHow to join this league: \n\nOnce you have met the basic requirements below and have read and understood our rules and penalty system\, you can apply to join the league.\n\nNew members are accepted up to Tuesday of each week.  We do not accept new applicants on official race day on Thursday.\n\nThere are 2 steps required to participate in this league:\n\n\n\n\nPlease search and apply under BMW CCA NCC League in iRacing:\n\n\n\nYou must have –\n\nRoad racing license class of D or higher\,\nSafety rating (SR) of 2.50 or higher\, AND\niRating of 1350 or higher to be accepted into the league\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscord channel link will be sent out and you must acknowledge certain channel within Discord to participate in league sessions.\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS \nSoftware \n\nWe (exclusively) use iRacing as our simulated racing program. DESCRIPTION:2024 is the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the X5 and the X brand so the X Chapter is celebrating in a big way. To make this celebration extra special\, they’ve planned the ultimate road trip in X Drives America. Seeking to connect with all its members and the broader BMW CCA community\, the X Chapter designed a road trip of four simultaneous routes with stops along the way at each of the BMW CCA’s geographic chapters. Each chapter has been asked to host an event\, aligned to the dates of X Drives America. Four miniature X5 models that need to travel from Anchorage\, Honolulu\, Toronto and San Juan to each of the geo chapters and then to Greer\, SC all in time for a special November celebration. \nThe F15 X5 Model will be passing from the Delaware Valley BMWCCA to our National Capital Chapter BMWCCA region before making its way onto Richmond\, VA for the Blue Ridge BMWCCA. \nNCC will host our X Drives America event on Sunday October 20th\, 2024. We invite all to come out for a drive through the Catocon Mountain Region. It is highly encouraged to bring out your X SAV to celebrate if you have one\, but all vehicles are welcome. The route will be almost entirely on paved roads with a short 1.5 mile section over compacted gravel\, and cars have the option to detour around this. Meet us for Grab & Go coffee and brunch before we head out for some covered bridges and scenery. The NCC X Drives America Tour will end at a local winery. Bring the kids. Bring the family. DESCRIPTION:Come join your fellow BMW enthusiasts for an ALL INCLUSIVE night of NHL hockey! NCC has secured discounted all-inclusive group seating for the Washington Capitals vs the New Jersey Devils at Capital One on Saturday\, November 23\, 2024 (7:00 PM).  \nEnjoy unlimited beer\, wine\, and soft drinks (through the end of the second intermission) and a meal voucher for inside the Devils Backbone Lounge. Limited seats are available so act fast. We may be able to open more seats based on availability. Our group seats will give us a great view of the game and a place to gather before and during the game.  Located on the fourth level\, Devils Backbone Lounge is a go-to party spot at Capital One Arena. Lined with flat screen TVs and open one hour before face-off. We will then head to our seats in section 408.\nThis will be a great event for us to socialize about BMWs\, BMWCCA\, and everything in between\, all while taking in world class hockey. We will meet inside the arena at the Devil’s Backbone Lounge to enjoy drinks and food. For a stress free time\, we recommend taking the METRO to the Gallery Place/ Chinatown stop or Metro Center stop for the game.
