Bimmers and Buggies

This scenic driving tour combines the thrill of navigating Lancaster County’s winding, rolling roads with the timeless charm of Pennsylvania’s Amish Country, taking you through 12 historic wooden covered bridges, while passing horse-drawn buggies and Amish farmlands.

This will be another “all day tour” beginning mid-morning at Hunt Valley Horsepower Car’s and Coffee in Spaks, MD.  We will proceed northward for little over 1 hour to cross the Susquehanna River into Lancaster County with a brief rest stop at the Pinnacle Overlook.  From there we’ll travel through the first 5 of our covered bridges ending at the Kitchen Kettle Viliage in Intercourse, PA to explore the shops and eat for an hour.  The final 2 hour leg of the tour will take us through 7 more covered bridges, up and around the top of Lancaster County with an end destination at the South County Brewing Company just off I-83 beneath York, PA.

Please be aware that this is an all day tour with 4 hours and 15 minutes of driving time and 150 miles ending just south of York, PA.  Each leg will be a little over 2 hours.
