Driving Tours
Looking for a fun day trip to get you out of town, socialize with fellow BMW owners and enjoy your “Ultimate Driving Machine”, an NCC Tour maybe just what you’re looking for! Tours are social group drives to local points of interest around Baltimore, DC, and Northern Virginia via the scenic route.

Tours typically consist of a half day to a full day of driving and run once or twice a month Spring through the Fall. Wineries, Museums, Restaurants, Creameries, Orchards, Scenic Overlooks are example destinations. We try to spread the tours out to hit all regions of the Chapter. Its at most an hours’ drive to the start location from Baltimore, DC or Northern Virginia, but often its less for one or the other.

High-Performance Driving Schools (HPDE)
The primary goal of these HPDEs are to develop and hone your car-control skills. It is not to drive fast, although speed will come with improving skills. We seek to produce not necessarily the fastest, but the most proficient drivers possible.

Afternoon competitions include the wet oval rat race (DSC OFF!), the wet and dry skid pad rat race and timed autocross. After lunch classroom instruction helps us get back to basics. Did we mention the Performance Center supplies the cars, gas, tires and lunch for the day?

Tire Rack Street Survival
It’s a car control clinic for teens. Car crashes (don’t call them “accidents” – most car crashes are entirely avoidable) are one of the leading causes of death for teens in the U.S. Street Survival’s goal is to teach teen drivers the car control skills, and more importantly, the situational awareness and judgement to keep them safe. One of my favorite Street Survival quotes is “it’s about more than driving; it’s about living”.
